UAE – Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and her government delegation have been in talks with Ali Rashid Lootah, chairman of Nakheel, to reinforce their long term collaboration in the field of real estate development.

The talks were held at the headquarters of Nakheel in Dubai where the delegation had a tour by boat at Palm Jumeirah, according to a press release.

The Vietnamese delegation learned about Nakheel’s innovation in setting new standards in master planning, waterfront development, and urban design that can be applied in Vietnam.

Both parties have discussed how Limitless, Nakheel’s sister company, could benefit from the Emirati company’s expertise in Vietnam.

Limitless currently develops the AED 2 billion Halong Star, a tourism-focussed project spanning 126 hectares, through a joint venture with a Vietnamese partner.

“Overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage Site on Vietnam’s north-east coast, Halong Star includes hospitality, residential, retail and leisure components. Ground preparation and infrastructure work is in progress,” the release highlighted.

Halong Bay is expected to attract 15 million visitors a year by 2020.
