UAE-based Danube Building Materials said it has reached an agreement with top coatings manufacturer RAR Holdings, for the distribution of Italian wood coatings brand Citver-Vernici Per Legno in the GCC region.
RAR Holdings is one of the largest coatings manufacturers in the Middle East, with a company headcount of 580. It has factories throughout the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
The focus of the company is on the Middle East where most of the manufacturing and sales are made.
Its recent acquisitions include Citver Paints, wood coatings for the Citver Brand; Vernici Egidio Milesi, wood coatings with the Vernici Egidio Milesi brand; and Silva Vernici, wood coatings with the Silva Vernici brand.
Citver paints said it is committed to helping consumers achieve a higher quality of finishing of wood coats and paints and supports this cause by developing products that are futuristic and ahead of the curve.
Citver is a sustainable brand and is in sync with trends of the market be it water borne finishes, both for interior and exterior uses, and prides itself in being a specialised developer, manufacturer and marketer of a wide range of decorative, protective, industrial coating, construction chemical packaging and adhesives which works towards the highest international standards to protect the environment.
Danube Building Materials CEO Madhu Rao said: "We, as a brand, saw a gap in the market for wood coats and paints, our reasoning behind adding a reputable brand like Citver to our portfolio of products is to meet the demands of a growing need in the market amidst the Expo 2020, which is almost round the corner, also the brand has a great synergy with us and we feel it will add great value to our brand mix."
Lauding the partnership, Anthony Readiy, Head of Strategic Planning at RAR, said: "One of our most trusted brands, Citver Paints, founded in the 1940s, with roots from Bologna, Italy, will now be exclusively distributed throughout the region by Danube Group, providing the market some of the finest wood finishes and solutions."
"Citer Paints were honoured by being one of the core brands in the upbringing of the UAE in the early 2000s, having completed projects such as Burj Al Arab. Being brought back into the consistently prosperous UAE and GCC market in 2021, through the acquisition of RAR Holding, and exclusive distribution of Danube Group, we await great accomplishments in the near future," he added.
Citver paints, he stated, has now established factories in 9 countries in Europe and MEA region and has an aggressive expansion plan in place.
It’s an ISO certified brand and produces more than 150,000 colors, its R&D department is considered world class and balances, minimum impact on health and the environment, all this has made Citver a pioneer in introducing the wood stain and coloring paste.
