KUWAIT CITY -  Kuwait has decided to restrict the issuance of visit visas, including family, tourism and commercial visas, for Egyptians due to the coronavirus outbreak.

According to the announcement made by the General Department for Citizenship and Passport Affairs, visas issued prior to this decision, which came into effect on Sunday, will not be included, provided the passengers from Egypt are tested upon arrival.

This measure coincides with a similar measure taken in Qatar in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Through this decision, Egypt joins six other countries – Iran, China, Thailand, South Korea, Iraq and Italy – with restricted entry into Kuwait.
