DUBAI- The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Korea Health Industry Development Institute to exchange their experiences in specialised medical training and to explore various avenues of collaboration in the health sector.
Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA, and Dr. Lee Young Chan, President of Korea Health Industry Development Institute, signed the MoU. Al Qatami highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration in today’s globalised world and highlighted the positive impact such collaborations have on patient care and on the growth of the overall health sector.
The two sides will exchange their experiences and collaborate in healthcare services including medical tourism, technology, best practices and medical education. Al Qatami said that the UAE and South Korea already have a strong relationship and many joined goals and projects in different fields. He pointed out that the development policy implemented by the DHA is open to the world including health institutions, specialised bodies, and anyone who wants to learn about the DHA’s successful experiences in the health field. He added that the DHA is keen to diversify its partnership and benefit from other global institutions experiences.
Dr. Chan, in turn, expressed his appreciation for opening new avenues of cooperation with the authority, emphasising that its cooperation with an advanced institution like the DHA is an important addition to the institute's achievements.
