Riyadh – Mubasher: The total value of assets held by Saudi Arabia's investment funds jumped by 26.45% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 526.1 billion in the third quarter (Q3) of 2021 from SAR 416.06 billion.
On a quarterly basis, Saudi Arabia's investment funds recorded a 1.7% rise in the total value of assets in Q3-21, compared to SAR 517.27 billion in the second quarter (Q2) of 2020, according to the quarterly statistical bulletin published by the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
The value of the public funds' assets rose by 22.3% to SAR 239.81 billion in the July-September period of 2021 from SAR 196.07 billion in the year-ago period.
The market capital accounted for 60.48% of the public funds' assets with SAR 145.02 billion in Q3-21.
Meanwhile, the assets of the Kingdom's private funds amounted to SAR 286.3 billion in Q3-21, up from SAR 219.99 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2020.
Equities represented 59.45% of the private funds' total assets with SAR 170.21 billion.
