MUSCAT -- Omanoil Matrix Marine Services LLC (MXO) has enhanced its physical bunker delivery services at the Port of Sohar with the deployment of a dedicated 6,000 MT IFO barge 'Azalea'.
With the dedicated 6,000 MT barge in port as of August 2014, Omanoil Matrix Marine Services LLC (MXO) has augmented its physical delivery services for fuel oil and gasoil to customers at the port. On request, bunker fuel can also be supplied by a 500 cubic metre (cbm) gasoil barge with access to all areas of the port. MXO is the only active IFO bunker supplier at the Port of Sohar offering RMG 380 and MGO (DMA). Gasoil is also available by truck delivery as well as marine lubricants as an extended service.
Located just outside the Strait of Hormuz, the Port of Sohar is an ideal location for the shipping business as it lies at the centre of global trade routes, between Europe and Asia. The international MXO team in Oman and Dubai has long-term experience in the bunker fuels business, including marketing, operations, supply and administration.
By focusing on customer needs and market dynamics, MXO offers high-quality products and a reliable service. To further extend its services, MXO is planning to offer ex-pipe fuel deliveries at the Oiltanking Odfjell terminal, located in the Port of Sohar, in the near future via an exclusive 43,000 cbm IFO storage agreement.
Omanoil Matrix Marine Services LLC (MXO), a joint venture between Matrix Marine Holding, Germany, and Oman Oil Marketing Company, is the sole active physical supplier of fuel oil at the Port of Sohar.
Matrix Marine's business encompasses physical delivery of marine fuels in Texas/USA, Singapore, India, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Matrix Marine Holding is a subsidiary of Mabanaft, the trading division of Marquard & Bahls, Hamburg.
