The seventh edition of Saudi Transtec, described as the Kingdom’s most established logistics and supply chain expo, opened on Monday.
Logistics experts, express couriers, customs specialists and truck distributors are among industry leaders from around the Kingdom and the wider region who are discussing solutions for improving the regional road, rail, sea and air logistics.
Supported by the Ministry of Transport, Saudi Transtec that runs until Wednesday (Dec. 7) will host an international conference on developing Saudi Arabia as a center of logistics excellence for the MENA Region.
Thought leaders from companies across the sector, including SSI Schaefer, SOHAR Port, Aramco, Hala Logistics, IKEA, Hutchison Ports and King Fahd International Airport will present insights and case studies to an audience of industry leaders and technical experts during the two days of debate and networking.
Organized by IES, an Italian event specialist, in partnership with Dhahran Expo, Saudi Transtec is an annual event that brings together the logistics industry in all its complexity. Since its inauguration in 2010, Saudi Transtec is stated to have grown “from strength to strength and crafted out its position as a truly world-class event.”
There is no trade without logistics and poor logistics often means poor trade, says Huxiang Zhao, president of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association. “Logistics performance requires the integration of many elements throughout the entire supply chain.”
“Saudi Transtec is the platform for the continued growth of strong and integrated logistics and we invite all our special guests, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and visitors to enjoy the three days,” he added.
