Jeddah’s hotel industry reported one of its highest monthly occupancy levels of the pandemic period during the month of March, said a report from STR - a global marketplace insights provider for the hospitality sector.
Based on preliminary data for the month, Jeddah hotels posted occupancy levels of 47.1 per cent, with average daily rate (ADR) touching SR676.36 ($1,194.7) and revenue per available room (RevPAR) reaching SR318.72 ($84.9).
The occupancy and RevPAR levels were Jeddah’s second highest since February 2020. Only January 2021 produced higher levels. ADR, on the other hand, fell in line with the levels recorded in the latter half of 2020.
Year-over-year percentage increases are substantial because of the comparison with the months most affected by the pandemic in 2020, the report said. - TradeArabia News Service
