Tehran, July 22, IRNA - An Iranian economic activist said here on Wednesday that India's Suzlon Company has announced readiness for construction of wind power farms in Iran in post-sanctions era.
'This company has designed, installed, and put to use wind farm mills in most countries around the globe with capacities over 14,000 megawatts,' said Maid Javdani in an interview with IRNA.
He said that that leading Indian company has branches in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Uruguay, Chili, Nicaragua, China, South Africa and the EU counties.
Javdani said that the Indian company is willing to make shared investments, or to provide the required technological know-how, the turbines and the facilities of the wind power mills for the Iranian electrical industries in the post-sanctions era.
He said that in collaboration with his firm, the representatives of 14 Indian commercial firms active in oil, gas, automobile and innovative energies, including Suzlon managing director, have arrived in Iran, similar to other countries' representatives and economic activists, and are busy negotiating with Iranians sides.
Suzlon, world 5th top in its field, is a market leader in India with a global footprint across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and North and South America. Over the past two decades, Suzlon has built and consolidated its presence in over 17 countries, by crossing 14,553 MW of wind power installations globally. Suzlon's global wind installations help in reducing 44 million tones of CO2 emissions every year.
