Milan, Italy - H.E. Saeed Almatrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, yesterday toured the UAE pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.
The delegation from Ajman government was welcomed by the officials in charge of the pavilion who gave them a tour of the different sections of the pavilion and briefed them on the pavilion's theme of "Food for Thought". A presentation about Expo in Dubai which focused on mobility, sustainability and opportunities was also shown to the delegation.
The UAE team also shared their experiences with the delegation including the positive feedback received from thousands of visitors who flocked to the stand since the event opened in May.
After touring the UAE pavilion, the delegation visited other pavilions on site such as the Etihad Airways pavilion. They met with officials of other participating countries such as Kuwait, USA and Switzerland to gather lessons and inspirations on the best methods in organising the exhibition.
During the tour, HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) expressed his admiration of the design of the pavilion which showcases the rapid development and rich history of the UAE.
He said that the experience shared by the team and observations from the other exhibitors would be extremely helpful as the emirate prepares for Dubai Expo 2020, which is less than five years away.

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) was established by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashed Al-Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman.
ATDD aims to highlight the importance of tourist attractions available in the Emirate of Ajman, and lay down strategic plans for tourism promotion, locally, regionally and internationally, via holding/participating in conferences, exhibitions, and international promotion campaigns.
