Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner university, recognized 166 students for academic excellence with the spring 2021 semester Dean’s List ceremony. Students are included on the Dean’s List based on grades from the previous semester.
The Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester included 41 first-year students, 43 sophomore students, 46 junior students and 36 senior students.
Addressing the honorees, Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, said: “Students, over the past academic year, you have learned to focus during a time of uncertainty, connect with others when it is challenging to do so, and adapt during a very challenging semester. On behalf of the entire CMU-Q community, congratulations on a job well done.”

Graduates from CMU-Q are pursuing their careers in top organizations within Qatar and around the world, and many have started their own entrepreneurial ventures. With 14 graduating classes, the total number of alumni is more than 1000.
