Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Al Wathba Custom Show concluded at the Sheikh Zayed Festival yesterday, March 17, 2023, after it ran for four months, during which car enthusiasts were entertained with heart-stopping shows of talent and suspense. The 20 participating classic and four-wheel drive vehicles showcased action-packed shows thrilled the audience with daredevil stunts and drifting routines.

With a total prize pool of around 1.8 million dirhams, one of the largest of its kind in the UAE, prizes were distributed to the winners in three categories: The Custom Cars category, which had two sub-categories: Custom Cars Manufactured Before 1979 and Custom Cars Manufactured from 1980 onwards. Participants within this category fully modified the vehicles, including the car's paint, engine, the size of tyres, the suspension system, and the sound system.

As for the Engine Battle category, it included modifying the engines, increasing their power and the amount of horsepower. Vehicles were tested on the “Dyno Device”, which is a device for measuring the strength and power of cars and analyzes the O2 exhaust output, as shown by a graph of the weakness and strength of a car engine.

The Refurbishment category includes car renewal and restoring it to close to a brand-new car as if it was in the year of its manufacturing, which means e-manufacturing and re-assembling cars again, from A to Z, during the run of the Al Wathba Custom Show.

In addition to rebuilding classic cars and four-wheel drive cars, and renewing and supplying their engines, car owners showcased several exciting shows, various workshops were also held for customizing car engines in a special space designated for customization of5 vehicles, allowing car owners to modify their cars in front of visitors on-the-spot.

First place in the Custom Cars Manufactured Before 1979 category was won by Salem Matar Salem Al Shamsi who was awarded with a prize of AED 200,000, in the second place came Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi and was awarded with a prize of AED 130,000, and Ashraf Abdul Hamid Saleem came in third place and won a prize of AED 60,000.

In the Custom Cars Manufactured from 1980 and Above category, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Fadel won first place, Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Hammadi ranked second, and Saif Mubarak Al Qamzi came third with prizes of AED 200,000, followed by AED 130,000 and AED 60,000 respectively.

In the Refurbishment category, Hamid Muhammad Al-Mosaabi won first place, Muhammad Yasser won second place, and Soaud Nasser Al-Hatali won third place, with prizes of AED 130,000, AED 90,000 and AED 50,000 respectively.

In the Engine Battle TB48 category, Ahmed Salem Al Shamsi won first place, Saeed Obaid Al Dhaheri in second place and Saeed Ibrahim Al Meamari came third, with a total prize of AED 120,000, AED 80,000 and AED 50,000 respectively.

In the category of Engine Battle - Full Boosted Category, Khaled Adnan Al Hammadi won first place with a prize of AED 120,000, in second place came Omar Ibrahim Al Suwaidi with a prize of AED 80,000, and in third place came Arslan Shakeel Khan with a prize of AED 50,000.

Lastly, in the category of Engine Battle - GM Category, Mohammed Rashid Al Jabri won first place, Hamdan Rashid Al Jabri won second place, and Mohammed Rashid Al Jabri won third place, with prizes worth AED 70,000, AED 50,000 and AED 30,000 respectively.
