Cairo, Egypt : Fine Hygienic Holding (FHH), one of the world's leading groups in the field of wellness and hygienic paper manufacturing, has recently participated in the fourth edition of Egypt Facility Management Forum, the largest facilities management event in the Middle East and Africa. The Forum, which was held under the auspices of The Ministry of Housing, aimed at exchanging successful experiences in the field of infrastructure innovation and sustainable solutions. The Forum also aimed at maximizing the participation of the private sector in achieving the Ministry's strategies.

During the Forum, FHH presented its experience in managing its facilities in Egypt where Sherif Alaa, Business Development Manager at Fine Solutions, the B2B arm of FHH, and Alaa Tohamy, Quality Assurance Manager, shared with the audience the group's efforts in three fields: environment, , economic contribution, and FHH’s work environment. The event witnessed the prestigious presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hisham Arafat, former Minister of Transport, Dr. Khaled Fahmy, former Minister of Environment, and Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing.

The Group showcased the leading sustainability  practices applied at its factories, which include the sourcing of 100% virgin pulp, provided by suppliers that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®). The Group also shared its efforts in reducing carbon dioxide emissions, by using natural gas as the main source of electricity generation in its four production facilities in Egypt, which resulted in reducing emissions by more than 25 thousand tons annually.

Furthermore, FHH presented its pioneering experience in reducing water consumption through the establishment of one of the most advanced water treatment plants in 6th of October City, which was inaugurated last year by the Minister of Environment.
