Cairo – Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann, at the OECD’s headquarters in Paris to launch a three-year country programme.
The programme is aimed at supporting a structural reform agenda to help address the country's key economic challenges, according to a statement on Tuesday.
It will help Egypt boost its competitiveness and integration in the global economy and move forward in its priorities under the second phase of the National Programme for Economic and Social Reform. It will also act as guidance for the implementation of the sustainable development strategy of Egypt Vision 2030.
The country programme includes 35 projects with a focus on five pillars, namely inclusive and sustainable economic growth, innovation and digital transformation, governance and anti-corruption, accurate statistics, and sustainable development.
