Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose 81.53 points, or 1.76%, to close at 4,714.73 points on Thursday.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 53.6 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 187.78 million.

The banks sector increased by 2.34% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) jumped 3.27% to AED 12.65.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, grew 2.13% each, while the energy sector added 0.63%, as Taqa surged 4.27% to AED 1.2.

On the other hand, the real estate sector lost 1.4% after Aldar Properties shed 1.89% to AED 2.08.
