Abu Dhabi: Healthpoint, part of Mubadala’s network of healthcare providers, has again been recognized for its continuous provision of high standards of care and safety to patients in the UAE.

The Centre has, for the second time, received the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) Gold Seal of Approval®, an accreditation and certification focused on adherence to outstanding standards of care and patient safety outcomes, at its facility in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.

Dr Jose Lopez, Chief Executive Officer of Healthpoint, said: “We are very proud of the excellent report we received from the JCI team on the high standards of patient care and clinical services that we offer. We achieved an exceptional 98.6% compliance rate, which underlines the significant progress this hospital has made.”

JCI is the world’s largest health-care accrediting agency that evaluates organizations in more than 90 countries and supports them to excel in providing safe and effective care. The certification is the culmination of a rigorous process that involved a comprehensive on-site survey, which took place in December, by JCI surveyors who evaluated the compliance of Healthpoint with internationally approved healthcare standards that define the performance expectations, structures, and functions that must be in place for accreditation.

Dr Lopez said: “The JCI methodology aims to empower healthcare organizations to implement global best-practices and change by providing relevant education and training to ultimately enhance patient safety and the quality of care.”
