Sharjah, UAE: UAE-based value-added food and beverage manufacturing firms Global Food Industries (GFI) and International Beverage and Filling Industries (IBFI) have further raised the bar of excellence as employers of choice as both companies were awarded a ‘Great Place to Work®’ certificate by the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures for the second consecutive year.

GFI and IBFI’s Great Place to Work® certifications were awarded following the conclusion of the Great Place to Work® Certification Survey, wherein both companies exceeded benchmarks to qualify for the Certification, Placement & Rating in Great Place to Work® Listed Organizations.

Both GFI and IBFI’s employee satisfaction were impressive mainly because of both companies’ successful management of the Covid-19 pandemic, which even included full emotional & psychological support, with 98 percent of employees having received double vaccination doses. In addition, both companies were able to bring stranded employees back to the UAE following travel restrictions imposed on certain countries.

Furthermore, GFI and IBFI continue to push a culture of equal opportunity, improvement in driving a work-life balance, organized visit to Expo 2020, increased employee engagement programs while maintaining strict safety protocols such as the Employee Connect Program and through different channels such as social media and a newsletter.

“We are truly honored and proud that both GFI and IBFI have successfully maintained our status as a great place to work for the second year in row,” said Hasan Rasheed, Head of Human Resources & Administration at GFI and IBFI.  “These certifications really show how much we value our employees and look after their overall wellbeing even in such challenging and difficult times.

“With the knowledge and awareness that GFI and IBFI are taking care of their needs, our motivated and inspired workforce have also been the key to our continued business success towards the realization of our ambitious business objectives,” Rasheed added. “Such level of employee satisfaction and happiness have also been the key towards our success in attracting and hiring the best talent, as well as in retaining high potential staff.”

Through proprietary assessment tools, advisory services, and certification programs, Great Place to Work® recognizes the Best Workplaces™ across the world, and provides the benchmarks, framework, and expertise needed to create, sustain, and recognize outstanding workplace cultures.
