Manama – To celebrate World Press Freedom Day, Finn Mark Communications held its first virtual media competition under the theme "Media Challenge", in honor of the work of media professionals and journalists around the world.

The competition, presented by Sarah Abu Al-Fath, news anchor and presenter of programs, hosted a group of media and journalists through the zoom platform in an interactive competition consisting of 4 levels , first level general questions, level II questions about the Kingdom of Bahrain , level iii questions specialized in the field of media and journalism, the last level is to measure mental abilities and focus, and this competition comes to give an atmosphere of fun and challenge and test the general abilities to compete for the first positions and win instant cash through the application of Benvet Be The competition was characterized by the victory of journalist Fatima Salman of al-Ayyam newspaper in the first place, and the second place for journalist Ali Abdul Khaleq of the Gulf News, and journalist Khadija Al-Aradi of al-Ayyam newspaper won the third place.

Zahra Taher, Ceo of Finn Mark Cominkishens, expressed her happiness to embrace this competition in honor of the efforts of the trouble-working soldiers who also come in the first rows in covering all the news and said: "During this competition we wanted to take the opportunity to thank the media staff of all institutions for their efforts. The basis of any strong society is the active and effective journalism that is certainly present in our Bahraini media and we have been working since its inception in 2010 to celebrate this occasion annually because of its appreciation and gratitude for this great profession.

Journalist Fatima Salman, winner of the first place in the competition, said: We can only offer all thanks and appreciation to Vin Mark Komunkishens for the support and encouragement of the media and journalists through the launch of this competition and its launch to coincide with the occasion of world press freedom day and this shows a clear appreciation and belief in the profession of journalism and what journalists and media as a whole offer.

I am very happy with this participation and get the first place in this challenge between a group of prominent journalists and media professionals in the Kingdom and go through all levels of the competition, where the challenge was not easy as everyone enjoys enough information, enthusiasm and media culture, and the beauty of the competition is its ability to test and evaluate our information as scientists in an atmosphere of competition and enthusiasm besides stimulating the element of speed to win the top three positions.

Ali Abdul Khaleq, a journalist for Gulf News, who won second place in the competition, expressed his great happiness to participate in the first virtual competition for media, praising the idea and the way of the competition.

"Every year we used to meet during the holy month of Ramadan, but the circumstances wanted us to be socially divided during this year, but that didn't stop Finn Mark Comunkishins from reuniting us and gathering by default," he said.

He pointed to the efforts of the wonderful team who worked on the success of this competition, hoping that such competitions will continue even after the end of this epidemic, God willing, and be an annual competition for media professionals on the way to challenge the pioneers because of the enrichment of knowledge and pleasure like no other.

Khadija Al-Aradi, the third-place journalist in the competition, thanked the "Virtual Media Challenge" for promoting a culture of creativity and innovation.

She also praised the efforts of the organizers of this competition, which will develop the cultural system of media and journalists, which coincided with World Press Freedom Day, which emphasizes the importance of the press and the great role it plays.

"I am very grateful for this participation and finishing third in this challenge and finishing at all levels of competition, and if it wasn't for the time factor, I would have moved up to first place," she said.
