Muscat: The Eid al Adha holidays for the public and private sectors have been extended until August 6 (Thursday), an official statement said on Monday.

Work will resume on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on this occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come, the Omani people and our dear country further progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s wise leadership and all Muslims welfare and blessings.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a ministerial decision stating that Eid Al Adha holiday at the private sector’s companies and establishments will be from Thursday, Dhul Hijjah 9, 1441 AH, corresponding to July 30, 2020 till Monday, Dhul Hijjah 13, 1441 AH, corresponding to August 3, 2020.

The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work arrangements to compensate this holiday, if necessity arises.

All employees at the private sector extended their congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on this blessed occasion, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life, and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty, the Omani people and all Muslims with welfare and blessings. –ONA
