RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajjraf, newly appointed secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by the foreign ministry’s undersecretary for multilateral international affairs, Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi.

Also on Wednesday, Prince Faisal met Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Iraq’s ambassador to the Kingdom, in Riyadh to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in Iraq.

The meeting was attended by Saeed bin Othman Suwaied, director-general of the Foreign Ministry’s General Department of the Arab States.
Prince Faisal also met former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is taking part in the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh.

Sarkozy described the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as a “vision for the future.”

He also highlighted the importance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s initiatives to protecting children in the cyberworld and empower women in the field of cybersecurity.
