ArabFinance: The Egyptian government plans to move all official holidays falling during the week to be celebrated on Thursdays, Spokesman of the Cabinet Nader Saad said on June 28th.

Saad noted that Eid el Fitr, Eid al Adha, and the Coptic Christmas holidays are excluded from this decision to be celebrated on their actual days.

The government’s decision aims to grant a long weekend to the citizens.

Meanwhile, the first application of this announcement will occur this week on the occasion of June 30th Revolution holiday.

Accordingly, the Egyptian Exchange will suspend its trading activity.
