RIYADH: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has connected the Modon Oasis project in Al-Jouf to the power grid, SPA reported.

It carried out the work out in coordination with the Ministry of Energy, Al-Jouf Province, and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (MODON).

Modon Oasis, which is spread across 3 million square meters, will be home to a number of manufacturing companies across several industrial sectors.

The Kingdom is establishing such industrial clusters to help spur manufacturing production, replace imports and create jobs for Saudis as it reduces economic reliance on the oil industry.
