Slovakia is ready to support opening of European Union accession talks with Ukraine at an EU summit this week, Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Wednesday.
Fico told a parliamentary committee that Slovakia was also ready to agree financial assistance for Ukraine from the EU, or from EU countries bilaterally if there is no EU unanimity, if certain Slovak demands are met. (Reporting by Jan Lopatka in Prague Editing by Jason Hovet)
