Hungarian commercial banks have reported a rise in demand for housing and consumption loans in the third quarter and expect this trend to strengthen, the National Bank of Hungary said in its fresh lending survey on Tuesday.
The NBH said 63% of the banks perceived a pick-up in demand for housing loans in the third quarter and almost all banks expect a further recovery in demand in the market of housing loans for the next 6 months. (Reporting by Krisztina Than)
