Greece recorded a central government primary budget surplus of 5.98 billion euros ($6.30 billion) in the January-to-September period on the back of higher tax revenues, finance ministry data showed on Monday.
The government had targeted a primary budget surplus - which excludes debt-servicing costs, social security and local administration budgets - of 2.4 billion euros for the first nine months of the year. ($1 = 0.9497 euros) (Reporting by Angeliki Koutantou)
