ABU DHABI – The Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, addressed the first meeting of the reconstituted General Committee of the National Commission for Education and Science. The meeting was attended by representatives of various ministries and local/federal authorities.
The members reviewed the committee's vision, achievements, and strategy for 2023-2026, and a working group was formed to implement the strategic plan. The challenges facing the National Commission were discussed and important education and science topics were reviewed.
Al Kaabi stated the formation of the committee shows the ministry's support of the UAE's relations with other countries and organizations and aims to expand cooperation in education, culture, and science.
The General Committee includes representatives from various government agencies and will undertake tasks to strengthen the country's position in the global arena. It will approve plans to foster cooperation between the National Commission and regional/international bodies, study and express opinions on treaties, and take necessary measures to strengthen cooperation.
The committee seeks to promote sustainable education and protect cultural heritage in cooperation with international organisations, and supports sub-committees for education, heritage, and science.
