An emergency pier built by the United States to bring aid into Gaza reached the besieged Palestinian territory's shore on Thursday, with assistance soon to flow, a US military officer said.
"Just a few hours ago, the pier was successfully affixed to the beach in Gaza," said Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, deputy commander of US Central Command.
