Export Bahrain has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Australian Bahrain Business Council with the aim of increasing business facilitations and providing the essential and integral support for Bahrain-based businesses to access Australian markets and enriching bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

This strategic agreement will serve in Bahrain as a promotional tool and a pathway with opportunities to promote and market their products and services to Australian markets as well as the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and market regulations further boosting co-operation and promoting trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The partnership is intended to contribute to the development of an integrated national exporting system, which will serve as a gateway for exporters to promote and market their products and services to Australian markets. Moreover, this partnership will provide Bahrain-based products and services with an easy access to the Australian market through seminars, webinars, workshops, trade exhibitions, and B2B meetings that will be facilitated by the two parties between companies based in Bahrain and Australia.

Commenting on the occasion, Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, chief executive officer of Export Bahrain, stated: “This new partnership with the Australia Bahrain Business Council comes as a strategic opportunity that will open new doors for Bahrain-based businesses to explore new prospects in the Australian market. We are very pleased with this partnership, as it aligns with our objectives of nurturing the growth of local businesses. We look forward to having Bahraini products and services showcased in the Australian markets.”

Simon Harrison, chairman of the Australia Bahrain Business Council, said: “With Australia’s open and highly globalised economy, this newly established and advantageous partnership with Export Bahrain will enhance trade facilitation in various sectors. This partnership is an additional commitment by the two parties to foster the economy and build on the relationship between the two nations.”
