Philippine Airlines said on Tuesday it had finalised an order for nine Airbus A350-1000 wide-body jets.

The airline said at the Paris Airshow that the new planes would fly on non-stop services from Manila to North America.

Airbus Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer said delivery of the jets would start in the second half of 2025.

Philippine Airlines also said it was cautiously optimistic about securing orders for three additional A350-1000s. (Reporting by Joanna Plucińska Editing by Mark Potter)
