Marcos says Philippines will not be 'cowed into silence' by China

President Ferdinand Marcos said Thursday the Philippines will not be "cowed into silence by China" after fresh confrontations in the South China Sea that left Filipino troops injured and vessels damaged.

"We will not be cowed into silence, submission or subservience," he said in a statement.
