President Joe Biden challenged rival Donald Trump to hold two debates ahead of November's US election, after months of uncertainty over whether the meetings would happen.
"Make my day, pal. I'll even do it twice," Biden said in a video on X, adding in a dig at the mid-week breaks in Trump's criminal trial: "So let's pick the dates Donald. I hear you're free on Wednesdays."
