Riyadh – Mubasher: Foreign investors on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) continued to record net buys during the week ended on 4 February 2021, while Gulf investors leaned towards buying activity and Saudis shifted towards selling activity.
Foreign and GCC investors’ purchases netted SAR 157.61 million and SAR 16.43 million, respectively, last week, whereas Saudis logged net sales of SAR 174.04 million, as shown by official data.
Meanwhile, total buys of foreign investors amounted to SAR 2.47 billion, while sales totalled SAR 2.31 billion.
Furthermore, total purchases of GCC investors reached SAR 345.95 million while sales registered SAR 329.52 million.
As for Saudi investors, sells and buys came in at SAR 43.83 billion and SAR 43.65 billion, respectively.
In the meantime, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) settled lower by the end of the past week for the third time in a row.
The benchmark index fell by 2.15% or 189.15 points to 8,617.87 points, recording its highest weekly losses since the end of October 2020.
