Cairo – Mubasher: Schneider Electric, a French energy management company, is establishing 65 electric vehicle (EV) charging units in Egypt in partnership with Revolta, the regional director of Schneider Electric MENA said.

The project is being implemented in the New Administrative Capital, Almal News reported, citing Waleed Shata.

In March 2018, Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel), a joint venture between the state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Italy’s Eni, signed a EUR 7 million (EGP 152.17 million) contract with Schneider Electric.

Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity signed a coordination protocol with the French electrical equipment maker this month to introduce clean energy in Upper Egypt and Sinai within five years.
