Aksa Enerji Üretim said on Tuesday that it has its power trading unit Aksa Aksen Enerji Ticareti has received regulatory approval to export electricity to Iraq.

The company said in a stock exchange statement that the Turkish energy market regulation authority (EMRA) has approved electricity exports to Iraq up to 150-megawatt capacity.

The statement said the company has signed interconnection line utilisation agreement with Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TE?A?), adding that electricity export operations are expected to start soon.
