Bahrain's Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has received three bids for its request for proposals (RFP) tender to procure consultancy services for utilities diversion to prepare the Bahrain Metro Project corridor.

A notice posted by Bahrain's Tender Board on Monday said ESBI Engineering & Facility Management, Mott MacDonald and SNC-Lavalin Major Projects have submitted bids for the consultancy contract. The bid values weren't disclosed.

The scope of work, according to the notice, includes planning and designing the diversion of utilities conflicting with the corridor and also propose new corridors for the diverted utilities in coordination with and the approval of relevant authorities such as Electricity and Water Authority, Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, and Telecommunication Regulatory Authority.

Phase 1 of Bahrain Metro is approximately 28.6-kilometre long with 20 stations with the Phase 1a stretch accounting for 8 kilometres and four stations.
