Saudi Water Partnerships Company (SWPC) has received bids for three Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) projects.
 
SWPC said it has received bids for the 200,000 cubic metres/day (expandable to 375,000 m3/day) Madinah 3; the 150,000 m3/day Buraydah 2 and 90,000 m3/day Tabuk 2 ISTP projects.
 
Four consortiums have submitted bids for Madinah 3 ISTP:
a) Acciona Agua; International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea); Tamasuk Company
b) Aqualia; Al Fanar Company; Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies
c) Metito Saudi; Mowa; Nesma
d) Veolia Middle East; Haji Hussain Alireza and Partners Company; Al Bawani Company
 
Three consortiums submitted bids for Buraidah-2 and Tabuk-2 ISTPs.
a) Acciona Agua; International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea); Tamasuk Company
b) Aqualia, Al Fanar Company, Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies
c) Metito Saudi, Mowa and Nesma
 
The RFPs for the three projects were issued in June 2020.
 
In January, Zawya Projects had reported that SWPC is expected to award BOOT contracts for three ISTP projects by the second quarter of 2021.
 
SWPC is expected to announce the first phase of its Small-scale Sewage Treatment Plant (Small STP) programme with sizes ranging from 1,000 m3/day to 25,000 m3/day this year.
