The Iraqi cabinet has approved granting 1,000 acres of land near Baghdad International Airport to Emaar to establish an integrated residential project that will also include a cultural and sports club and a golf course, according to Iraqi news portal NINA.
The decision was taken at the 23rd cabinet meeting chaired by Iraq's Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the report posted on 15 June said. It said the Cabinet also approved the development of a new city called Rafael over an area of 10,600 acres around Baghdad International Airport.
