Oman's Ministry of Health (MoH) has invited consultants to study the feasibility of redeveloping the Al Nahda General Hospital in Muscat Governorate through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.

Oman launched its new PPP law last year.

In November 2019, a report by Oman Observer, quoting the ministry's Under-Secretary for Planning Affairs Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, said all future greenfield and brownfield tertiary hospital projects would be undertaken through PPP route. Brownfield projects listed by the report included the 46-year old Khoula Hospital, the 48-year old Al Nahda hospital, the Royal Hospital at Bausher and the SQU Hospital in Al Khoud.

Documents are available till 19 March 2020 and 15 April 2020 is the last day for submission, according to Oman Tender Board.
