A PHARMACEUTICAL factory in Bahrain has started manufacturing a cough syrup and Omega-3 capsules.
The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) yesterday announced that the Bahrain International Medicine Manufacturing Company Limited (Bahrain Pharma) has started producing Omegarin Soft Gel Capsules (Omega-3) and Ivynise Syrup (Cough Syrup), at the plant located in the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP), Hidd.
“These are the first pharmaceuticals to be produced in Bahrain,” said a statement.
“The products will be marketed in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq and Yemen.”
The NHRA granted the company a manufacturing licence in 2020 and certified it as a “Good Manufacturing Practice facility” last year.
