SSH has been named the lead consultant on the new J1 Beach in Dubai, providing design and construction supervision, the Bahrain-based firm said in a statement.

The J1 Beach will replace La Mer South, owned and operated by Merex Investment Group, as the region’s flagship beach destination.

The J1 Beach is located on approximately 500 metres of beachfront in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, and forms a section of two Dubai Development Authority plots comprising nearly 103,550 sqm. 

J1 Beach will feature three beach clubs and 10 upscale, licensed restaurants.

Construction has already begun, with the new destination set to open by the end of 2023, the statement said.
