The 15-storey project is slated to have a total built-up area is over 2 million square feet and will generate over 6,500 megawatt hours (MWh) a year of renewable energy using building integrated and distributed solar photovoltaic panels.

In October 2019, DEWA had awarded a construction contract worth 982 million UAE dirhams ($267 million) for its new headquarters to a consortium comprising Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting and Ghantoot Gulf Contracting. DEWA had previously awarded the first phase of construction, worth AED 46 million ($13 million), to Dutco Balfour Beatty.
