Bahrain's Ministry of Works has invited bids from qualified contractors for the development of the first phase of Capital Waterfront in Manama.
The project scope for Waterfront Project Phase 1A includes demolition of existing structures, new landscaping, construction of new boardwalks in addition to running and cycle tracks, children's playground, viewing stands and setting up ample space for car parking.
Also under the project, administrative and security building as well as a guard house will be set up.
The key infrastructure work includes electrical substation, refuse rooms, public toilets, pump rooms, water tanks, street lighting and irrigation system. The entire Phase One work will be completed within three years.
As per the tender notification, preferance will be given to Grade AA buildings contractors registered with Ministry of Works. The deadline for submitting the bids has been set at February 19.
