Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, : Yas Mall, the largest mall in Abu Dhabi is gearing up to mark the 50th UAE National Day with a host of exciting in-mall entertainment. Taking place on Friday, 19 November and Friday, 26 November from 3:30pm to 9pm, residents and tourists alike will be able to revel in the world-class offerings of Yas Mall and enjoy an amazing line-up of live spectacles while shopping or dining.
With a wide range of performances, Fridays leading up to National Day will be filled with musical, artistic and dance performances, with an illusory exhibition of magic tricks from Sonny Day’s Best Close-up Magician winner, Thomas of the Edinburgh Magic Circle.
19th November Lineup
This Friday, the series of artistic performances will kick off at 3:30pm at the heart of Yas Mall, Town Square, with fun and fiesta set for the entire family. At 4:00pm, the dance floor at Town Square will light up with an exciting dance showdown between UAE-based hip-hop dance crews, B-boys and the Dance Monkeys. The face-off of the two talented groups will display a riveting show for the Yas Mall’s patrons.
Kristina will also grace Town Square with captivating saxophone tunes. The R. Giler Kriv Institute of Music alumna will serenade visitors with a modern blend of jazz, funky rhythms and catchy tunes. Keeping with the theme of surrealism, a roaming parade of freestyle dancers will wow the Yas Mall crowd with their interactive performances.
26th November Lineup
A melodious performance kicks off the day at 3pm with Pasha Zazan on the violin at Town Square, while a Charlie Chaplin impersonator visits the 21st Century roaming around the mall. The exceptional string virtuoso has toured all over the globe showcasing stellar tunes, and she will stage a whole classical world of sound into a contemporary one with her electric violin. By 3:45pm, a modern-day carnival will add vibrance and colour to the day as Uni Krew, an amusing unicycle group, brings an element of quirky fun all around Yas Mall with their mischievous comic personalities coupled with their brilliant roaming performances. At the same time, Town Square will witness world-renowned Strawhatz dance crew break beats to K-Pop music in their famous Chinese straw hats. Guests will enjoy a fascinating performance of pops and locks as they showcase their unique skills at Town Square.
