Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Yesterday, the World Economic Forum's Summit on the Global Agenda came to a conclusion in Abu Dhabi. The three-day Summit was jointly hosted by the United Arab Emirates Federal Government and the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, together with the World Economic Forum. This year's Summit was co-chaired by His Excellency Eng Sultan bin Saeed AlMansoori, UAE Minister of Economy, and His Excellency Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency Eng Sultan AlMansoori, the UAE Minister of Economy, Summit Co-Chair, said: "If you look around you see many different nationalities and backgrounds but we are all working together to create a better world, and I want to thank everyone here for their contribution to creating a more positive future."

His Excellency Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi, Summit Co-Chair, said: "We are very proud that the Summit has been held in Abu Dhabi. It provides a unique space for creative and collaborative thinking - and more importantly the creation of a roadmap for action."

The Summit brought together more than 900 thought leaders from academia, business, government and civil society, from more than 60 countries. Together they discussed some of the most pressing issues on the global, regional and industry agendas including, global economic imbalances, cyber security, transparency and anti-corruption, social media, the future of travel and tourism, biodiversity and natural capital, and the role of the arts in society.

The outcomes of the various sessions in Abu Dhabi will shape the agenda for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in 2016.

Dr. Philipp Rösler, Head of the Centre for Regional Strategies at the Forum, stated in his closing remarks: "As an international organization for public-private cooperation, we are convinced that we can only deal with different challenges in a public-private mindset."

This is the eighth time the Summit has been hosted in the UAE, and the third time in Abu Dhabi. The continuing presence of the Summit in the UAE is a testament to the UAE and Abu Dhabi's significant role in global conversations.
