The exhibition brings together paintings and drawings by Dutch masters Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer and their contemporaries. It surveys Rembrandt’s artistic journey in Leiden and Amsterdam and his relationships with rivals and peers, including Johannes Vermeer, Jan Lievens, Ferdinand Bol, Carel Fabritius, Gerrit Dou, Frans van Mieris and Frans Hals.

Admission is included as part of the museum general admission ticket – 63 AED (including 5% VAT). Admission is free for children under 13.

In this two-day masterclass, explore a variety of drawing techniques used by the Dutch masters. Learn gestural drawing and mark making directional line illustration inside the exhibition. Return to the studio to use mixed media to develop the sketches and create a single finished artwork.

Price per ticket is AED 84 for Adults and AED 52.50 for ages 16 to 22 and Art Club members.

VISITOR INFORMATION

Louvre Abu Dhabi hours are: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 10 am–8 pm; Thursday and Friday, 10 am–10 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays.

Last entries and ticket purchases end 30 minutes prior to closing. Special visitor hours will be in effect during some holidays and Ramadan.

General admission tickets are 63 AED (including VAT). Reduced access tickets are 31.5 AED (including VAT) for visitors aged 13-22, UAE education professionals, and members of the military.

Admission is free for members of the museum’s loyalty programme, children under the age of 13, ICOM or ICOMOS members, journalists and visitors with special needs and their companions.
