Dubai, UAE, 7 April 2014: The Higher Committee of Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2014 announced the official sponsors of the exhibition held under the directive of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and DEWA President, from 14th - 16th April 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Committee has reported a high volume of requests for participation in the exhibition which is just less than one month away.

DEWA, the main organising body of WETEX, says the exhibition has attracted 16 Strategic Sponsors, 10 Platinum Sponsors and 32 Gold Sponsors.

Al Tayer explained that DEWA follows performance indicators to measure the success and growth of the exhibition, according to which WETEX has recorded significant quantitative and qualitative development since its inception in 1999.

DEWA plans to launch the first 'Green Week' to coincide with WETEX as an annual event that will include a series of community events targeting all segments of society, including children and students.

DEWA will allocate a stand at SmarTech Shopper which is taking place on the sidelines of WETEX 2014 for the first time. The Green Week will also include a workshop to raise awareness about rational consumption of water and electricity.
