Cairo, Specialized in digital solutions, Wasla Browser participated in Generation Next event, which took place at Zed Park Sheikh Zayed today. Wasla is the first browser in Egypt and Africa that helps users save money and data online.

Aside from the surrounding networking and cooperation opportunities, the event presented a welcoming stage for deliberating regarding a number of topics related to the development of emerging markets and the startup community as well as supporting entrepreneurs and small-business owners, who advocate progressive approaches, especially those that facilitate digitalization and development of services.

In parallel, the roundtables organized on the sideline of the event also discussed a number of topics including the important role capital ventures play in terms of developing a suitable work environment for growing tech companies. Moreover, it tackled the vital importance of working with development partners to secure funds, reinforce governance and meet environmental and social criteria as well as sustainable development goals through startups. Along with strengthening Egypt's positioning as an investment-attracting destination for startups, amongst the selected subjects was also the means to create effective rapport between corporates and startups to encourage creativity, chiefly through development projects.

According to Taymour Sabry, Wasla's CPO and Co-Founder, emerging markets offer the internet and communication sector promising opportunities as 85% of the users that caused significant growth in the usage of internet over the past three years came from these markets; specifically in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa.

The event was attended by Dr. Rania El Mashaat, Minister of International Cooperation as well as a number of acclaimed experts and executive managers of corporates and startups, in addition to more than 400 of Egypt and the region's most successful entrepreneurs.
