Doha, 25 July 2015: Vodafone Qatar announced today that it has completed its networks enhancement across the capital Doha and has now initiated the second phase of this process which will entail swapping all of the company's remaining cell sites in the country. Vodafone began its networks enhancement activities in January 2015 and is aiming to finish such plans by September 2015.

Vodafone stated that the initiative falls strongly in line with the company's strategy to provide the population of Qatar with state-of-the-art telecommunications services through cutting-edge technology, which in the end will result in an improved experience and faster internet speeds.

Customers in impacted areas may experience a service interruption for a number of hours. Vodafone added that it will notify the customers in impacted areas via SMS ahead of the network enhancements.
