Cairo, Egypt – Today, Vezeeta announces a long-term strategic partnership with Egypt’s top health insurance management company, Med Right. Through this alliance, over 180,000 Med Right customers will be able to book clinic appointments with top-rated medical experts within the Vezeeta network from the comfort of their home.

Med Right patients can now simply log onto the Vezeeta app to search for their preferred doctor based on their specialty, location, and availability, and instantaneously book a doctor’s appointment. Patients will no longer be required to pay for the doctor’s consultation at the clinic or submit their invoice to Med Right to reimburse their claims, which is a massive transformation from the traditional healthcare journey of privately insured patients in Egypt. This, coupled with Vezeeta’s recently launched ePharmacy solution, will also allow Med Right customers to avoid the hassle of long pharmacy queues, usually encountered at the time of dispensing their prescribed medications, as they will simply be able to upload the doctor’s prescription onto the Vezeeta app to purchase their medications, and schedule deliveries at their convenience, all at the click of a button.

By giving patients the power to choose the right healthcare provider, while reducing the time and effort spent on navigating a complex and tiresome healthcare journey, Vezeeta and Med Right are making new strides towards enhancing patients’ healthcare experiences.

“As a customer-centric organization, we always focus on easing and enhancing the end users’ experience, in every possible way. Med Right’s partnership with Vezeeta, a pioneer in digitally transforming patient experiences, will definitely create a valuable and meaningful impact in the life of our customers. This alliance is in line with our strategy for innovation, with a definite goal to excel in the way our beneficiaries perceive Med Right services." Dr. Mohamed Refaat, Med Right Chairman.

“Vezeeta’s partnership with Med Right reinforces our mission to continually empower patients with the right data and digital tools,” stated Khaled Atef, MD of Egypt, Vezeeta. “We are simply making the process of health insurance claims and reimbursements quick, easy and delightful, and are proud to partner with like-minded healthcare leaders such as Med Right,” he added.

With a strong track record in empowering patients through digital innovation, Vezeeta has served up to 6 million patients across 6 countries through a network of over 30,000 doctors across the MEA region. In 2020 alone, the company managed to triple its business, reaching 350,000 monthly transactions, and expanding its product portfolio to include teleconsultations, home visits and ePharmacy.

Med Right, one of the fastest growing health insurance management companies in Egypt, has seen skyrocketing success in the region with a 476 percent growth in revenues in just six years since its onset, due to its incomparably innovative and flexible healthcare solutions and offerings. With a 25X increase in capital, the company now serves over 180,000 beneficiaries, from 300 clients in over 30 industries all over the nation.
