Cairo, Egypt - Uber Egypt and MAC, Al-Mansour Automotive Company, team up to provide drivers with vehicle benefits. As part of the deal, drivers will be able to buy Chevrolet Optra Comfort 2017 at 195k EGP instead of 210k EGP, in addition to receiving a 20% discount on spare parts and 15% discount  on Chevrolet vehicles already registered on Uber.  The partnership is part of Uber's long term commitment to providing more Egyptians with economic opportunity through its technology. Through discounts on vehicles and spare parts, drivers and potential drivers are better able to manage a sustainable form of income through the Uber app.

Abdellatif Waked, Uber Egypt’s General Manager, commented on the importance of this partnership: “Providing Uber drivers with additional benefits allows them to continue using technology to further supplement their income, and increase their financial stability in today’s tough economic conditions. We know from drivers that benefits provided on vehicles for sale and after sale goes a long way in meeting their needs to join or continue driving on Uber. It is especially important to potential drivers that also want to work on Uber but need the right car in order to join.”

Since the partnership has taken effect nearly one month ago, MAC has already witnessed more than 100 Uber drivers take part in this partnership by redeeming this offer.

Loutfy Mansour, Vehicle Sales Service and Marketing Director from MAC, commented: “We are honored to partner with Uber Egypt to give the driver's vehicle benefits, especially after recent fluctuation of prices. This will enable current Uber drivers to spend their income on other necessities and make Uber more accessible for those looking to supplement their income. The partnership aligns with our company’s responsibility as an Egyptian corporation to develop societies through various programs.

Since its launch in Egypt, Uber has been collaborating with several leading stakeholders from various industries to provide its drivers with the best vehicle solutions through its technology. These partnerships include Rawaj, providing drivers with vehicle financing solutions; Al Tibby, providing drivers and their families with free medical consultation; and Nacita Auto Care, equipping The North Coast with an on-demand rescue service this summer, and the go-to location for Uber drivers’ car maintenance and examination throughout the year.

The Uber and MAC partnership offer is currently available until December 2017, and can be redeemed in 4 of MAC’s branches in Cairo and 2 in Alexandria.
